Maryland Passes New Law to Protect Mobile Home Purchasers and Owners

This past session, Maryland legislators passed a bill that will offer greater protections to mobile home purchasers and owners. The law, which goes into effect October 1, 2020, will prohibit mobile home retailers from steering purchasers to certain lenders or products and requires that certain lenders provide notice of their intent to repossess mobile homes. The bill is HB 93/SB 155.
