Having been a Principal in a large law firm in downtown Baltimore, he gained a wide range of experience in construction defect cases, lender liability claims and the representation of individuals in personal injury and products liability matters.  He is blending his work on construction defect litigation experience with a sense of justice for individuals who often are taken advantage of by the large corporations, municipalities, condominium and homeowners association boards and corporate landlords.

Matt was an integral part of a trial team that represented a unit owner that suffered significant damages stemming from water infiltration and mold growth in a condominium unit. This case resulted in what is believed to be Maryland's largest judgment against a condominium board for failure to maintain and repair common elements resulting in damages to a single unit owner.

Matt is active in the community and is currently serving on the Committee on Litigation and Legal Priorities for the ACLU of Maryland.  He is dedicated to the advancement of a civil and just society and has written for The Daily Record on topics involving those most vulnerable in our society.  He has also published opinion pieces in The Baltimore Sun and Al Dia News.

Matt graduated cum laude from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2006 and served on the Editorial Board of the Temple Law Review.
